Polka dots

Prints and patterns have always played an important role in fashion. However, there are only a small number of designs that can truly be considered classic in style. These designs not only fashionably stand the test of time, but also add very interesting visual dimensions and life to otherwise plain fabrics. For 2013 fall and winter season, clothes and accessories are embellished by fabulous graphic designs, with  polka dots on top of their game.Fausto Puglisi behind Emanuel Ungaro showcased silhouettes straight from the 1980s featuring power shoulders, sharp lines and bright color palette, including light blue, yellow and royal blue, mixed with polka dots and leopard prints.

On the catwalk we saw oversized fur outerwear, belted coat dresses, one-shoulder mini-dresses, blouses with jeweled butterfly brooches, wrap skirts with thigh-high slits, color-blocked wrap dresses, drapey jumpsuits and cropped blouson jackets, with the showstopper being the pants with polka dots on one leg and leopard spots on the other. At Miu Miu show, colorful polka dots fabrics made tailored hourglass shape coats jaunty. The navy-style old-lined coats and jackets were made more feminine by must-haves such as polka-dotted neckerchiefs and matching calf-length skirts.
