16 Nov A sweater is like a cappuccino… with foam
And then suddenly, they told us milk is bad for our health, yes, they told this to us, grown up on palm oil Plasmon biscuits dipped in the milk for breakfast, snack, and also dinner from time to time; some believe it, some others don’t, someone tells we’re all going to die anyway, others, like me, are trying in vain to get used to soy instead of milk, whole-wheat flour instead of the “whitened” one, and almonds instead of meat.
But there are times when you really can’t put up with surrogates… you just desire a cappuccino with “real” milk, and the whole one, not even the skimmed milk, with a lot of foam, prepared by your trusted barman, garnished and served with a compliment.
One of those cappuccinos able to fix a bad day, with its dense foam embracing and pampering you for a while, and you’d like to hide in the cup and stay there for the whole day, just because you need this, sometimes… and then, the beauty of your own rules, which you chose and then choose to break, as it happens with fashion.
You need to know every rule in order to have fun breaking them as you like it, in a totally peculiar way, as for your cappuccino.
So, if like me, you don’t get along well with quilted jackets, that in my very personal rules, are only allowed in New York when the temperature goes below 20° or for a ski holiday, you can choose instead a heavy wool sweater.
You can wear it in place of an outerwear, on top of light blouses and silk trousers. Chose it in the shades of milk, with its creamy dense foam it will go along with you all day long, and if you steal it from your “man”, your boyfriend or your father as in my case, it doesn’t matter, just be sure you can hide in there so you won’t have to get out of it for the whole day…
I was wearing:
– My father’s sweater
– Silk vintage trousers
– Asos pointed High Heels
– Cuban bracelet
– Questionable origin rings
– Daniel Wellington watch
– Céline bag
