The link between\u00a0Sofia Coppola<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Louis Vuitton<\/a>\u00a0is something of a love story.\u00a0In 2008, thanks to her close friend and former creative director\u00a0Marc Jacobs<\/a>, Sofia posed for the brand’s luxury luggage line ad campaign shot by\u00a0Annie Leibovitz<\/a>\u00a0alongside her father\u00a0Francis Ford Coppola<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2009 the Academy Award-winning filmmaker and longtime fashion lover, visited the historic\u00a0Louis Vuitton\u00a0workshop in Asni\u00e8res<\/strong>, near\u00a0Paris, with the intention of placing a special order but, inspired by the\u00a0Speedy\u00a0and\u00a0Keepall\u00a0models she ended up designing her dream bag, which was named Sofia Coppola after her.\u00a0The SC Bag<\/strong> can be carried by hand or on a shoulder: it\u2019s large so it can fit everything a woman must carry around during a days\u2019 work, it\u2019s soft enough to get a sporty vibe but without losing its classy Vuitton flare.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the relaunch of this it bag, the Coppola-Vuitton dream team designed a special edition of the\u00a0SC Bag<\/strong>,\u00a0which was presented during a cocktail party at Le Bon March\u00e9 Rive Gauche<\/strong>: one of the oldest department stores of Paris and the designer’s favorite shopping stop-off when in\u00a0town.\u00a0The SC Bag<\/strong> homage to Bon March\u00e9 is dark cobalt color<\/strong> with hand painted fuchsia pink <\/strong>piping meticulously applied by the artisans of the maison, to echo its similarly vibrant lining.\u00a0For the Spring Summer 2014 season the SC Bag<\/strong> comes in new bright rainbow colors, with an extra-long shoulder strap and a in two smaller sizes.<\/p>\n

The shop windows, also designed by Sofia Coppola and on display for the entire month of October, were beautifully decorated with fawn animals, enlarged cherries, beautiful flowers and dozens of rose colored balloons.<\/p>\n
