Vintage Fendi Bag

Have I ever told you about my passion for vintage? Not everybody likes it, but I adore it. Why is that? Well, first of all, it reminds me of my travels,as, in every city I’ve visited, I’ve found some market or some little store in which I bought a piece of history. Some outfits or accessories seem to be telling you about a previous era, in which textiles were refined and manufacturing was handcrafted. What are my favourite places? Well, it’s hard to choose, but I think that San Francisco takes the top spot, as it has Haight-Ashbury, the historic neighbourhood. I also like London, as it has endless markets and Carnaby Street, which is a real piece of history. Mary Quant, Twiggy,  Pop Art and the Beatles were also born there or they went down that road.

Secondly, the term “vintage” evokes images ranging from the photograph of my parents on their honeymoon (my parents were so beautful then) to the images of my style icons : Grace Kelly wearing white in the film “High Society”, Jane Birkin and her straw bags (they were nothing like the handbag that was named after her, but they were stylish nonetheless) , Audrey Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich, Wallis Simpson and so forth.

What is vintage about this outfit ? The handbag! It is a Fendi that is made of scented black leather which can be perfectly matched to a more modern look.
