The Great Beauty: it was love at first sight for the beautiful movie directed and written by Paolo Sorrentino, recently Oscar-nominated: we loved Toni Servillo‘s performance, the soundtrack, the beautiful views of Rome and the atmosphere wonderful yet decadent of a city we know well; but we don’t talk about film criticism, but we talk about one of the aspects that most affect: the costumes.
Jep Gamabrdella, the protagonist by the undeniable charm, sporting a set of clothes that exude a timeless elegance, that only a big name in fashion tailoring could sign. We’re talking about a fashion house made in Naples: tailored suits created from the refinement and mastery of the prestigious tailors of the tailoring Cesare Attolini, which rises in Casalnuovo, on the outskirts of Naples; the costume designer Daniela Ciancio has in fact skillfully chosen a house which boasts a tradition that began in 1930. Jep Gambardella is always impeccable in his full of haute couture, from sophisticated fabrics, which blend well with the location of the film: the eternal Rome.
Alongside a man of the caliber of Toni Servillo, can not miss a woman, and in this case we have seen Sabrina Ferilli. Even her clothes were chosen to have a special impact. One for all? The one worn at the party, we are sure that in for better or worse has impressed all: the transparent suit made in tulle and studded with crystals. The curious anecdote concerning this dress, is that it comes from her wardrobe: it is a scene dress worn in Beauty and the Beast, Sabrina seems to not be able to get rid it and – whether or not you agree with his decision – when she proposed the dress to Sorrentino, he approved it.
