On the occasion of its runway “event” opening the Paris Fashion Week, MIU MIU reinvents itself and gets talked about.
Yes, because Miuccia chooses to walk down the runway outside the canonical schedule (and not even with her leading collection), within the fabulous Parisian palace, completely renewed for the event.
The MIU MIU Club is now open: for good girls, but not too much.
Metallic grills and scaffoldings fill the structures of Palais d’Iéna, and thus the fashion show results hanging on a catwalk in the air, right above the luxurious salon where guests sitting on white sofas enjoy the Prada delicatessens, as prawns risotto “al dente”, while sipping champagne.
The most fashionable star set is invited: names like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, and on the stage, prominent Drag Queens and sound artists such as Frederic Sanchez, Seth Troxler, Cassy and Graig Richards.
Such an awarded happening was in occasion of the presentation of MIU MIU’s first Fragrance with Stacy Martin as testimonial. Among the many surprises within the event, there was an ad hoc padded room, far from the party and full of turquoise and red little bottles.
The show and the dress are gorgeous, strong and punk, models have messy hairstyles, so 80’s, long bangs and platinum blonde.
Vinyl is the star: tops, chemises and squared mini-dresses, red and light-blue striped.
Full flared skirts and dresses, “plastic” effect, with cutouts, cow girls booties and mirror sandals.
A very unique mix & match, faux fur tailed stoles, varnishes, vinyl and T-shirts with graffitis, prints, swallows and horses and every kind of stripes.
MIU MIU puts Croisière on the stage: it comes from the Greek, for ladies who desired a brand new dress for the winter cruise, but this time it’s a real catwalk, showing beautiful clothes, a presentation of the reinvented MIU MIU woman: bold and bad.
