A Must Have For Fall 2014. A long dress.
Most people imagine long dresses as being strictly for the summer, or for very special and very elegant occasions. This could not be farther from the truth; especially this year.
The summer catwalks gave us an insight into this Autumn/Winter’s fashion, between 2014 and 2015. They showed us long dresses that were suitable for any situation. Long dresses are a must-have at the moment : the important thing is that you have to know how to choose them, and how to contextualise them, so that you always have the right outfit on.
Amongst various suggestions , we are indicating the ones that are worth getting inspiration from : Etro’s flair, which is enclosed in a headscarf print, Dolce & Gabbana’s flowers, and Valentino’s romantic dresses, or even Riccardo Tisci’s dresses, which are feminine, sophisticated and have a French style.
There’s something that everybody likes ; you just have to expertly choose the one that will be the season’s must. It is crucial that you have a long dress in your wardrobe this Autumn, as it will soon become a classic, like a little black dress. After all, long dresses are suitable for the most diverse of situations : all you need to do is combine it with the right accessories ; that’s all!
As far as shapes and colours are concerned, obviously, we would advise you to choose according to your own taste; to your own shapes and your ideal colour palette. Even long dresses need to accompany your body shapes, by caressing them and flattering them. Therefore, your long dress should never be too large or too tight, and its colour should emphasise the natural features of your face.
